Another great nacho save by our fearless David B! On his way back to PS this morning he spotted two hapless nacho teammates attempting to repair a tire slice. The poor bastards had just returned from a tour to Rosseau and back when tragedy struck. Dave was initially flummoxed by the timing of it all " I don't fucking believe it" he stammered before turning around to the aid of his nacho friends. They had not even thought to carry a sharp knife with them the dicks. Not to be deterred Dave managed to McGiver a tire patch out of the old tube ripping it along the wire cable of the highway retaining fence. He got that stuffed into place for added reinforcement before inflating the tire to prevent the new tube from pushing out the sidewall. We were agog, speechless. (Steve why didn't you think of that, easier than building a Sidewinder don't you think?)Then without further ado he climbed back on his bike with grease covered hands and sped oneward. He didn't even stay for the beers we had for him. A women passed by part way through this travesty and asked if we needed help. She nonetheless quickly departed when Steve simply asked if she had any nachoes and Pete was urinating. (Dave B worked silently on).

There are men, and then there are nacho men! The quick fix got the men home! If Dave could just get that trailer of his on the road the whole episode could have been performed with nacho Steve and nacho Pete in beauty lawn chairs, eh!

Great story Pete.

Maybe next time when we call Dave to "fix a flat tire" aka, pub crawl, Maryanne will believe him.

ONSTAR DAVID

How the hell do you post to this Blog anyway?!! I am forced into obscurity by leaving a comment (that no one important may read) to "peter j"'s post.

I was out biking with my wife Linda yesterday afternoon and she got the first of two flats close to Parry Sound. In order to impress my better half, I foolishly started to repair the flat. Moments later David rode up on his mountain bike (he was hard to recognize covered in mud) along with his trusted assistant Peter I. I did not realize that when Linda purchased her bike from David recently she purchased the ONSTAR David feature. Apparently when you get a flat on your bike you press a small button on your bike and David will magically show up and change your flat - quickly and efficiently.

Later the same day…….

3/4 of the way up Shoebottom Hill on 518 Linda got another flat - @#$%&^*!! Anyway, I did manage to impress her this time by successfully repairing the flat. The ONSTAR David feature seemed to be malfunctioning. We headed for home since I was out of spare tubes. As we turned onto old 69 and started to head south for home there running up the road was ONSTAR David. He was not malfunctioning he was just delayed because he was on foot!

I do believe he should advertise this feature more prominently when selling bikes - it could be worth a fortune!

P.S. I did 14 km from Victory School this morning (Monday) and no one showed to keep me company (so sad :{ ).
